Three Events I’m Planning Around This Month
Some nights are meant for slow dinners at home, a good bottle, maybe a candle or two. But others? They’re made for being out — walking into a space that smells like food and sounds like music, seeing people you haven’t seen in a while, tasting something new.
This month, LA’s full of those kinds of nights. And these three events feel especially worth showing up for. Each one is a little different — a neighborhood block party, a thoughtful tasting, a daylong festival — but all of them are bringing people together around good wine. Here’s what’s on my list.
Stanley x Stolpman
Wednesday, May 21 | 6–8pm | Stanley’s Wet Goods, Culver City
No RSVP — just walk in

If you’ve never had the chance to hear Peter Stolpman talk about his family’s vineyard, this is the night. He’ll be pouring four wines at Stanley’s—no ticket needed—and sharing the stories behind each one. It’s the kind of tasting that feels casual and welcoming, but leaves you thinking about the wine long after.
I featured Stolpman earlier this month in the newsletter—their wines always feel like a perfect balance of structure and soul (and massive nostalgia for me). If you want a preview before you go, you can find my picks here.
Rosé on Rose
Saturday, June 14 | 1–6pm (+ afterparty) | Rose Avenue, Venice
Details & tickets »
Venice is leaning all the way into summer with this one — a rosé crawl and street fest that turns Rose Ave. into a pink-hued celebration. You’ll wander from spot to spot, glass in hand, soaking up the sun, stopping for snacks, and catching live music or DJ sets along the way.
It’s the kind of afternoon that doesn’t need a big plan — just comfy shoes, something breezy to wear, and a willingness to follow the energy. The official afterparty runs from 6–8pm, but something tells me the night won’t end there.
Good Boy & Friends
Saturday, June 28 | 8th & Santa Fe | All day
More info coming soon »
If there’s one wine festival in LA that feels like a true community moment, this is it. Good Boy & Friends brings together natural winemakers, great food, and music in a way that feels thoughtful, energetic, and a little unexpected — in the best way.
You’ll find bottles you’ve never seen before, meet the people behind them, and probably dance a little too. The full list of producers drops soon, but if past years are any sign, this one’s going to be a standout.
Thinking About Making This a Thing—what do you think?
If you like being in the know about events like these, let me know. I’ve been thinking about rounding up local wine happenings more often — the ones that feel joyful and a little special, and support the people who make this city such a great place to drink wine.
Because LA’s full of good nights just waiting to be planned around.
